This is the iPhone Steve Jobs envisioned

Recently I bought the iPhone 7.

It literally is the best iPhone yet. In fact, I believe this to be the iPhone Steve Jobs envisioned in 2007 but was not able to manufacture. Really fast, gorgeous looking and with all the apps imaginable.

Then what comes next? Everybody has been copying the iPhone and there can be just minor improvements from now on. The vision is accomplished. Someone needs to do have a new vision that everyone instantly want and finally need. A new paradigm shift.

I believe this to be something completely different and not a phone. It’s something I bring with me everywhere. Using all the time for everything in my digital life. Containing my digital clone, the digital me.

I would want digital sensors, screens in different sizes available om demand, analog interfaces (voice, hands, eyes and other senses) to digital devices and a secure me space of my own. To be in control of my digital life. No friction. Just working.  I suppose I want to keep my analog me, for now. Maybe digital and analog can’t be divided in the future.

iPhone 7 is a perfect computer but I demand more. It’s difficult to describe what I mean. I suppose thats why nobody is replacing the iPhone vision with something else. God knows people have tried.

I believe this new vision will be defined by AI in a near future. When the machines knows everything there is to know and starts to make their own knowledge. Combining all possible human knowledge into a new description of the world we live in.

Next year is the 10 year anniversary of the iPhone and all the tech editors are expecting a brand new thing called iPhone 8. There will most certainly be one but only slightly better than iPhone 7. And that is fine. I will buy that too. But the tech editors will be disappointed and will go on talking about not interesting things like old technology that has been removed in favor of new technology. I’m so tired of that.

I love iPhone 7!

Bose quiet comfort 35 review

The first thing that i notice is the feeling of being cleansed from noise. Not hearing the ventilation. Not hearing the high pitch from electric appliances. Not hearing, just feeling, the roar of jet engines while I’m flying. Just silence. Putting these headphones on makes me calm and more relaxed.

Other people have the same experience and tells me how amazing this feels. Seeing there eyes bulge “What!?? That can’t be true!”. To stop hearing noise like that changes everything.

I try to wear the headphones as much as I can. Working and commuting. There is a problem outdoors since wind can be heard quite loud (but not louder than my usual Apple headset so for me it’s not a big problem) and I can imagine others having a problem with that. I consider it a minor issue. These headphones are optimized for use in a office or commuting.

I have had three wireless noise cancelling headphones before this one and this is the best yet. Especially the microphones are better than the others making it a delightful headset. To me the music in these headphones sound just right. I’ve had noise cancelling headphones with more treble or base but not with this balance. I like it.

Yes, they are expensive. But hey, you get what you pay for right?

Paying like a machine

It’s interesting what easy automated payment including mobile payment does to peoples minds.

Being able to use and pay for services with a minimal friction makes us all the perfect consumer and at the same time giving us the advantage of transparent costs. I can always choose another service at a cheaper price.

At the same time I notice my tendency to buy more, without much thinking. It’s so easy. There is another thing about minimal friction, me not giving enough attention to what service  I’m using and just keep on paying a monthly fee. This behavior is not very smart but convenient. I can stop paying at any time but the company offering the service knows that I most often don’t.

In my view, this is a good thing when services are becoming more and more automated with minimal human “hands on” like automated cars. I don’t feel bad about paying the least amount for that service. No human getting hurt in the process.

But what about wage slaves? People being used by other people because they are vulnerable with no education and being poor. I don’t what to contribute to that. I just have to try harder to see through the curtains. See what’s happening. Transparency is important. And I think automated services can give more transparency and I think we all could benefit by using transparent automated services where the whole process från beginning to end is known by everybody using it.

Automated payment need automated services.
